Let me just say that I've had about enough of authors, sitcoms, movies and all other forms of communications making men look like fools. If a woman loves her man come hell or high water, then she should act like it and never, ever, ever talk bad about him unless it is silently, and directly to God.
I was into this book along about the 4th chapter and I just got so tired of the protag's cutsey old southern drawl and her cut 'em down and "bless his heart". That is getting so VERY old! I did't finish it. I found that I really didn't care about the characters, and if I'm going to finish a novel, I must care about the characters. There's plenty of soul food in this book, but not much ole South Charm. I give it 1 star... mildly interesting.
